This project is/was an arduous, incomprehensible, and overdue thank you letter to my aunt and uncle. I was asked to make a portrait of their children, and I decided to inject all of the dysfunction of an undeveloped studio practice into the process. So, I developed and stalled and developed and stalled and so on over several years. What was once rotoscoped, handdrawn, collaged, enlarged, printed on textile, cut, rehashed, pinned, discarded (or set aside), is now (in its most concrete form) 10 varied 11x14" prints to be meaningfully distributed.
Thank you, Silicon.
